


The Scribner Seminars are the centerpiece of the First-Year Experience. Taught by faculty from virtually every discipline who design seminars to highlight their own intellectual curiosities and passions, they will help you explore ideas, challenge assumptions, and gain first-hand experience of faculty expectations of academic rigor and excellence.
Class of 2028 FYE Prize Winners
The First-Year Experience Prize, supported with the generosity of Candace Carlucci Backus 鈥66, is awarded annually to up to three projects by first-year students in recognition of exceptional scholarly or artistic achievement in the fall鈥檚 Scribner Seminars. Winners are announced in the spring semester.
Dylan Dreizen (鈥28), Jalane Mendo ('28), and Zivitte Bergman-Igra (鈥28) received the award for their outstanding work in their fall Scribner Seminars.
