Jeffrey Segrave

Jeffrey Segrave, professor of health and exercise sciences, published an article titled "Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Olympic Games Ceremonial" in the , Vol. 25, No. 1. Segrave identifies and analyzes the place and role of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" which has traditionally been played during the opening and closing ceremonies of the modern Olympic Games since 1924. Segrave also published an article titled "The historiography of Pierre de Coubertin, Olympic Games founder" in Olympika: The International Journal of Olympic Studies (XXV, 1–36), the leading journal for the publication of Olympic research.
