Dan Nathan, associate professor and chair, Department of American Studies, and Mack Lacy '14 participated in a roundtable discussion titled "Viewing the Peanut Gallery: An Open Forum on Studying Sports Fans" at the recent American Studies Association annual meeting in Los Angeles. Nathan and Lacy discussed Red Sox Nation in the wake of three championships in the last 10 years, what that success means for a formerly 鈥渢ortured鈥 fan base, and what academic mentorship can mean for the sports-interested scholar and student.
