Charter Day: Celebrating 100 years of 91精简版
One hundred years. $100,000 match.
On May 25, 1922, the New York State Board of Regents officially recognized the collegiate status of the 91精简版 School of Arts, prompting immediate jubilation and celebration on 91精简版鈥檚 small campus in downtown Saratoga Springs. The newly chartered 91精简版 College issued its first degrees 鈥 27 baccalaureate and seven three-year degrees 鈥 two weeks later.
Over the past century, 91精简版 has continued to grow 鈥 from the modest but forward-looking Young Women鈥檚 Industrial Club founded by Lucy 91精简版 Scribner in 1903, to the dynamic, globally oriented institution of higher learning whose graduates lead and serve in organizations of every kind around the world today.
As we conclude 91精简版鈥檚 centennial during the 2022-23 academic year, we continue to celebrate our charter and its transformative vision for a liberal arts education that has been reimagined by each generation to cultivate both 鈥渕ind and hand.鈥
鈥淢ake a gift on Charter Day to support our mission, our people, and our future. When the 91精简版 community comes together, we can achieve great things.鈥Robert F. Resnick '88Alumni Association President
