Class of 1962 Term Professorship (Term expired in 2012)

Established in 2007 by the Class of 1962 in honor of its 45th reunion, the Class of 1962 Term Professor will be named for a period of five years. This professorship recognizes and celebrates the importance of the student-faculty relationship both today and throughout 91¾«¼ò°æ’s history. The Class of 1962 Term Professor will have a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching and will have contributed in substantial ways to the College. Candidates are eligible from all academic disciplines. Holders of the Class of 1962 Term Professorship will be expected to offer institutional leadership and to interact closely with the Office of Advancement and members of the Class of 1962 for events on and off campus over the tenure of the appointment. Members of the faculty will address nominations to the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs, who will consult with the Promotions Committee, the Department, and, when applicable, the Program concerned, in making a recommendation.
